MY journey
I have ten years experience as Head Teacher of a leading North London senior school and was twice rated outstanding for leadership by Ofsted. I’ve successfully worked in executive coaching since 2014, helping senior leaders and their teams to be more effective.
Curiosity is central to my work. My own background includes growing up in Scotland and spending some of my formative years in the USA. I am energised by meeting and understanding people with different experiences and perspectives.
My education includes a degree in English and Drama and teacher training at Cambridge after which I taught in both UK secondary state and senior independent schools.
As Head Teacher, one of my main achievements was improving the quality of education which resulted in increased pupil numbers and the need to move the school to a larger site. This involved working with a range of different stakeholders to ensure a successful transition.
After Headship I trained at The Tavistock, London in psychoanalytic and systemic theories as well as executive coaching. I am also a qualified practitioner in Myers Briggs and FIRO-B psychometric questionnaires.
I love developing leaders in schools to be more effective so that ultimately the young people in their care can flourish.
